The educational itineraries of Oltremare give guests the possibility to make pleasant journeys across the wonders and mysteries of the universe; pavilions, open spaces and giant tanks reproduce the different habitants of the world and are populated by both rare species of animals and plants and local fauna from the Adriatic Sea, such as small farm animals and different species of local birds and birds of prey.
Oltremare gathers different itineraries which include prehistory and dinosaurs, fascinating exotic settings, charming ocean habitats, the great natural heritage of the Adriatic Sea, the reproduction of giant fishes and special tanks hosting sea horses and leafy sea dragons. Twice a day, the Dolphins' Lagoon is the venue for exciting acrobatics performed by both dolphins and skilled instructors which give spectators the possibility to enjoy thrilling emotions.
IMAX, the large cinema situated next to Oltremare, projects interesting documentaries dedicated to the secrets and mysteries of the universe. State-of-the-art technologies, a 600-square metre-large screen, 3D and 4D projections and plenty of special effects make this absorbing journey across the mysteries of our planet an outstanding adventure. IMAX can host up to 499 people, projections are carried out many times a day and special evening projections can be arranged by appointment. IMAX is also provided with a souvenir shop selling curious items and proper refreshment areas.
